The Irish Centre for Responsible Tourism is a part of a network of organisations around the world all committed to furthering the aspirations of the Cape Town Declaration. The Cape Town Declaration reminded us of the world's diversity as the basis for tourism.

There is no blueprint, no internationally valid prescription for the way in which tourism should be made more sustainable. The variety and importance of issues vary from place to place, affected by the cultural, natural and political environment and so the solutions vary too.
